Absolute Value Worksheets Math Worksheets Are you looking for the best free math worksheets and activities available on the internet? We offer tons of free math worksheets and activities covering all areas of mathematics. You can utilize any of the worksheets below to help your students, children, or yourself to improve your math skills.
There are 12 questions in all. The first 6 questions give students the slope of a line and a point that the line passes through. Students than need to determine the equation of the line. The other 6 questions give students an equation written in standard form.
Students must translate the equation to slope intercept form.
Cut each question page in half to separate the question boxes. Hang the 12 questions around the classroom. Make enough copies of the recording sheets for each student or each group of students.
Divide students up into groups of students. Assign each group a starting number. Group 1 may start at problem 3, group 2 at problem 4, etc…. Each group of students will begin at their assigned spot.
They will work together to solve the problem on the card, and record their answers on the recording sheet. Set a timer for minutes. Once the timer rings students will rotate like a carousel and solve the next problem.
Students will continue rotating until they have completed each problem. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, etc, please email me at: This item is a digital download from 4 the Love of Math.

The equation of line is y = mx + c. m is the slope and c is the y intercept or the point where it . Example 1: Writing an Equation Given the Slope and Y-Intercept Write the equation for a line that has a slope of -2 and y-intercept of 5. NOTES: I substituted the value for the slope (-2) for m and the value for the y-intercept (5) for b.
Learn to write equations in slope-intercept form for three different lines.
After completing this tutorial, you should be able to: Find the slope given a graph, two points or an equation. Write a linear equation in slope/intercept form. General Form of Equation of a Line The "General Form" of the equation of a straight line is: Convert 4x − 2y − 5 = 0 to Slope-Intercept Form.
